1. Constant current and constant cycle fast charging method
The characteristic of this method is that the battery is charged with a pulse charging current with a constant current amplitude and a constant period, and there is a discharge pulse between the two charging pulses for depolarization, so as to improve the charge acceptance of the battery. During the charging process, the charging current and its pulse width are not affected by the state of charge of the battery. Therefore, it is an open-loop pulse charging. This charging method is easy to make the battery full capacity, but if the protection device to prevent overcharge is not added, it is easy to cause strong overcharge and affect the service life of the battery. In this charging method, although depolarization measures are added throughout the charging process, this fixed depolarization measure is difficult to meet the requirements of the entire charging process.
2. Constant current and fixed gas rate pulse charge and discharge depolarization fast charging method
The characteristic of this charging method is that during the entire charging process, the amplitude of the charging current pulse and the gas outlet rate of the battery remain unchanged. At the beginning of the charging process, the charging current is slightly lower than the initial acceptance current of the battery. During the charging process, the acceptable current of the battery gradually decreases, so after a period of time, the charging current will exceed the acceptable current of the battery, so more gas will be generated in the battery, and the gas out rate will increase significantly. At this time, the gas detection element can send out a control signal in time to force the battery to stop charging and discharge for a short time. In this way, the internal polarization of the battery quickly disappears, so the outgassing rate can always be kept within a lower predetermined value. There are such programs abroad. Due to the lack of gas sensitive components in China, this method is rarely studied.
